A public engagement process has been undertaken for the design of public art outside the new Whitburn Partnership Centre. The artist Ailsa Magnus has engaged with the local community in Whitburn and has designed three public art concepts, with information on each design concept set out below. We are now asking for the community to select their favourite design.

Craigshill Community Choices is a process that enables the local community to decide how public funding is spent. It aims to improve the overall wellbeing of individuals and families in Craigshill through addressing key issues facing the community. This is a pilot project as part of the wider development of Participatory Budgeting (PB) in West Lothian.

There is currently a process to engage residents for ideas for projects that will improve areas within council housing estates. Following positive engagement and discussions with the Tenants Panel, it has been agreed to incorporate a Community Choices process which is hoped will increase the number of ideas as well as engagement and participation in the process.
